At Stinson Builders we enjoy building with integrity. We show reverence to our clients , the materials we use, vision of the design, and the skill of our craftsmen.

Our approaches to building and renovating:

Conservation

We recycle whenever possible. We used FSC certified lumber. We use advanced framing techniques that reduce the quantity of lumber used. We even use a recycling company instead of dumpsters, which captures, on average, 70% of discarded materials. We are always seeking new materials and innovative techniques to exceed industry standards of conservation and green building.

Craftsmanship

Our teams of carpenters and subcontractors come from the cream of the crop. We choose people that are not only experienced but also creative. Many times, a creative solution can make all the difference. Since the difference in our industry is definitely in the detail, this kind of attention to minutiae is what sets us apart.

Process

We listen, we pay attention to our clients' needs, concerns, values and lifestyle. This approach also applies to our team, the community, neighborhoods, and local government.  We like to think we take a reverential approach to our work. A collaborative environment always creates a better result. As recent books like The Checklist Manifesto, Drive and The Outliers illustrate, active listening and a collaborative approach to work prevents mistakes and creates better results. We believe that our process makes a difference to the success of each project, the environment and the people with which we collaborate.

Design

We live, eat and breathe design. It's our world. We work closely with architects to realize the creative vision, whether it be extremely contemporary or period-specific renovations. We have a history of working with award-winning architects and design teams and have a rigorous process that ensures the designer's vision is realized.
